Although Singapore has four official languages (Mandarin,
Malay, Tamil and English), English is the most commonly used
language connecting our many diverse ethnic groups.
Education:

the country's vast research and education infrastructure and
is ranked as one of the best in the world.
People:
Different races and cultures live harmoniously in
Singapore, making everyone feel welcomed and completely at
home.
Cuisine:
The food courts in Singapore are the most popular amongst
students and working adults. These food courts offer a whole
plethora of cuisine that will ensure that you'll never get
bored from eating out.
Safety:
Singapore has the reputation of being one of the safest

Why do students choose SINGAPORE
While there are many reasons why Singapore is the top
destination for foreign students, here is what our students
have to say:

Where Home Meets World
"Just three hours by flight from Vietnam, Singapore is like another home close
to my home where anyone can comfortably settle down. Yet, it opens up numerous
opportunities to meet people from all over the world, understand different
cultures, start a challenging career or even take up new hobbies. It is indeed a
gateway to explore the world further."
- Le Thi Hong (Vietnam), MBA Class of 2006

Something Old, Something New
"East meets West. This describes Singapore best. Different cultures coexist
harmoniously here under a developed economy. It is as though different colours
were put randomly together to form an unexpectedly beautiful picture. So
wherever you are from, you will find something familiar for you to feel
comfortable. Yet there is something different for you to experience and learn
new things."
- Tang Lin (China), MBA Class of 2006

A Global Influence
"I find Singapore an outstanding country with an impressive history, considering
its age as an independent nation. It has a wide range of cultures that have
shaped it to be what it is today. I find it astonishing - the speed at which
Singapore has become such an influence in the world."
- Sharmen Andrew (Canada), MBA Exchange Student, Class
of 2004

Perfect Balance
"For me, Singapore offers the perfect balance of being familiar and comfortable.
I am not totally lost and out of place. Yet it different enough and I know that
I am not at home. Of course, like other foreigners from the West, I also
appreciate the fact that English is widely used."
- Stephen P Maxner (USA), MBA Exchange Student, Class of
2004

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
"Singapore is a financial hub and a business epicentre for most MNCs, and thus a
natural outlet for MBAs. On top of that, the emerging economies in the
surrounding region, the close economic ties within ASEAN, and the premium placed
on a localised Asian knowledge create a broader job market for NUS graduates."
- Philip B Docena (Philippines), MBA Class of 2004

Safe & Sound
"You can walk around at 4 AM and still feel safe."
- Leslie Go Alcantara (Philippines), MBA Class of 1997
